About Me

My photo
Missy May
Me, well I'm a girl who wants to speak 8 languages and travel the world and accomplish a little bit of everything. My goal for my life is to be focused on God, family, joy and learning. If I had my choice I'd be outside, barefoot almost all the time, and around animals. I enjoy running, rock climbing and I love to read and crotchet...well you know the basics... So, please look around to both past and present blogs and help me try a bit of everything as I explore books I have read, projects I have done, and my random musings in general. Thank you!

"Distance runners are experts at pain, discomfort, and fear. You're not coming away feeling good. It's a matter of how much pain you can deal with on those days. it's not a strategy. It's just a callusing of the mind and body to deal with discomfort... That's the nature of their game. Taking pain." - Running with the Buffaloes (Taken from Dan Wybrow's facebook page)

The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.
- Joseph Campbell

We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned,
so as to have the life that is waiting for us.
The old skin has to be shed before the new one can come.
- Joseph Campbell

There are only two ways to live your life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle.
- Albert Einstein

Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.
- Helen Keller
Life is a song - sing it.
Life is a game - play it.
Life is a challenge - meet it.
Life is a dream - realize it.
Life is a sacrifice - offer it.
Life is love - enjoy it.
- Sai Baba
Courage doesn't always roar.
Sometimes courage is the quiet voice
at the end of the day saying,
"I will try again tomorrow."
